Samhain

Samhain is the third of 3 harvest celebration, widley viewed as the Pagn New Year. It is a time to celebrate everything we have and to reflect upon the last year. The veil seperating us from the spirit world is said to be at it's thinest. It is not only a time to celebrate life and all that it brings, but also to recognise death as a part of life and celebrate the mysteries of this.

Pictures and Poets wanted

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help, I'm looking for wheel of the year/seasonal inspired photos/illustrations to use in new book. I can't pay for them but if you have webshop/gallery will publish full page ad after title page in book. Please don't expect this to pop up on best seller list, but my first book got listed with Amazon.com and Waterstones and i'm hoping this one will to.Also if anyone has any poetry inspired by these topics they would like published (again i can't pay for these but full credit for work will be published in book, along with any website you would like attributed) I would love to see these as well.

Harvest Moon

Tonight you can see the full Harvest Moon - (aka Blood Moon and Hunters Moon). This not only has the usual magical connotations connected with other full moons but has a large significance for wildlife. It is the brightest moon of the year and many animals wait for it as a signal to start migration, hence the name Hunters Moon as due to the effect on wildlife it is indeed a very good night to go hunting.
